The hammer crusher is one of the main stone crushing machines for intermediate and fine crushing the brittle materials with less than hardness such as limestone coal and others used in metallurgy, building material, chemical and water-power industry. It has the features of big crushing ratio and even product granularity.

 It is also named hammer mill crusher, and crushes materials by the collision between the high-speed hammer and materials. It possesses qualities of simple structure, large reduction ratio, and high-efficiency. This hammer mill crusher is applicable for both dry and wet crushing. The compression strength of the materials shall not exceed 100 MPa, while the moisture content shall be lower than 15%.

Working principles of hammer crusher

Hammer crusher can be used for crushing the materials relying on the impact force. The materials which enter into  the hammer crusher can be crushed when meeting the impact force of the high-speed rotating hammer. Under the kinetic energy effect from the hammer, the finished materials rush at high speed towards baffle and sieve. At the same time, the materials strike each other. 

Then after several times of crushing, the materials whose granularity is less than the sieve gap can be discharged. However, the bigger ones will bear another time of impacting, grinding, and squeezing. The final product size of the hammer crusher can be adjusted by changing the screening plate. The gap between the rotors and the screening plate can also be adjusted according to different requirements.
