Lime Kiln

Brief Introduction to Lime Kiln:

Lime kiln is also known as lime rotary kiln, horizontal lime kiln, quick lime plant or lime plant,  and it is mainly composed of kiln body, feeding device, distributing device, burning device, ash unloading device, engine, instrumental control device, dust collector and so on. For lime kiln, it can be classified into horizontal lime kiln and vertical lime kiln.

 For different lime pit, there are different structures and methods of calcinations. The working processes are basically the same but there are great differences of the value of equipments. Generally, lime rotary kiln plays an important role in quick lime plant or lime plant.

Working Principle of Lime Rotary Kiln:

Limestone and fuel are loaded into the lime kiln (if the fuel is the gas, it should be sent through pipes and burner), preheating to 850 degrees, they are began to break down, and to 1200 degrees, calcinations is completed. And after being cooled, they could be removed from the kiln to complete the lime production. 

There are different ways of preheating, burning, cooling and dust unloading of different furnaces. However, there are some common principles like high quality of raw material and lime, high calorific value of fuel and low consumption and so on.
